Greetings;

As many may be aware, the BWCTL tool invokes the 'iperf' throughput tool
by default when used on the command line. This is slightly different
behavior than the regular testing infrastructure, which since the
release of perfSONAR 3.4, has used 'iperf3' as the default.

To keep the tool use experience consistent, iperf3 will be changed to
the default throughput tool for BWCTL as of the next major release of
perfSONAR - version 3.5 expected in autumn of 2015. Iperf will still be
an option for both use cases, e.g. using command line flags to change
the tool, or switching the tool used in regular testing.

If there are any comments or concerns about this change, please contact
the developers:

Thanks;

-jason
