You don't have to use /usr/local/bwctl, but that's what I did in order
to keep it out of the way of stuff in regular /usr/local on my system.
I also noticed that there's an initialization issue for the hints data
structure used in the getaddrinfo call that the BSDs are a stickler
about. (I'll submit a patch to
perfsonar-devel@.)
Let me know if
you're having issues with running bwctl -s to a known good perfSONAR host.
