Hello Brian,
thank you for your answer.
On the test machines I am using there is no firewall, it is pure lab equipment so I removed all the iptables and similar services.
Moreover the failure occurs about once out of 5 tests, it is not systematic.

I will try and let you know

You could try increasing die_by and/or control_timeout   in /etc/bwctld/bwctld.conf, but are you sure there is not a firewall blocking the test?

That will will also cause the test to time out. You need to make sure the full range of owamp and bwctl ports is open.
