Hi,

I think I may have found the reason of the problem I reported below.

While performing owamp based tests, bwping creates a temporary folder at /tmp/bwctl_owamp with the same rights of the launching user. On test termination the folder is not removed.

If the first test is run as root, the temporary folder will be owned by root, so if you try to run another test as non-privileged user it will fail because bwctl will not be able to create the temporary files in a folder owned by root. Does this sound reasonable?

Would it be possible to remove the folder upon test termination?

Hi again,

Sorry for reporting another problem but when running bwping –T owamp base tests from crontab I find this error in the output passed to the posthook

 

bwctld[9013]: FILE=owamp.c, LINE=181, OwampPreRunTest(): Unable to create temporary directory: Permission denied';

 

What folder is it trying to access? Is there any way to choose it?
