Hi,
The default port I am using to connect to remote host is port 22, but not port 861.

Thank you,
Datla.

Hi,

The goal is to see if port 861 is open on the remote host since that’s the normal cause of “couldn’t connect” problems.

Cheers,
Aaron

Hi,

Can you telnet to umnm3.rnet.missouri.edu port 861?

Hello,
I am having trouble with my perfSONAR 3.4 to collect latency and loss data. I have tried running “ owping hostname”  command but I have an error

owping: FILE=owping.c, LINE=1603, Unable to open control connection to umnm3.rnet.missouri.edu.

One the other side, from node umnm3.rnet.missouri.edu, owping command is working and showing results from both sides. The connection between these two nodes is fine ( ping is working). How can I solve this error?

Thank you,
Datla.
