Hi all,
We are currently running perfSONAR-*-3.3.2-*. When I run “yum update”, perfSONAR-*-3.4-* show up, but I am not quite comfortable to upgrade from 3.3.2 to 3.4 yet, as I saw posts about missing graphs and unenable to start services. I also had issues of upgrading from 3.4rc2 to 3.4 on a test box, the problem was fixed, but I lost some test data, which didn’t matter that much. However, for a production system with historical data, we would like to preserve the historical data and have it available when needed.
Does the current 3.3.2 to 3.4 yum update preserver historical data? What is the proper upgrade procedure? What files/directories and database do I need to back up before I attempt to upgrade?
The information is probably available somewhere online at perfsonar.net, however, it would save me some time if someone could point it out for me.
Thank you much very for your help.
