I ended up destroying it and switching to the netinstall version instead, but this is the result from another CentOS 6 VM I have:

# ls -l /dev/vd*
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 253, 0 Jun 6 16:48 /dev/vda
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 253, 1 Jun 6 16:48 /dev/vda1

Hey Brian,

Could you send us the output of “ls -l /dev/vda*”. The scripts go based on
the major/minor numbers to avoid including things that would be inapplicable
(e.g. a usb key, or cd-rom), and it may be improperly excluding the KVM
devices. Unfortunately, due to how the LiveCD works, the existing version
can’t be made to work (short of a method to get the devices to use a
different set of major/minor numbers), but we can try to make sure that the
3.4 series works for you.

Cheers,
Aaron

I've attached the livecd to a KVM instance using the virtio drivers. It
seems that the configuration script does not detect the hard drive, as it's
mounted at /dev/vda instead of /dev/sda. Is this something that I can work
around? Is there an option to specify a path here that I'm not seeing?
