Hi,

How are your tests setup? Do you run the mesh config software or were they setup through the web browser? You could try backing up your old owmesh.conf and then reinstalling the default with the following, but it would require you to re-add your tests:

mv /opt/perfsonar_ps/perfsonarbuoy_ma/etc/owmesh.conf  /opt/perfsonar_ps/perfsonarbuoy_ma/etc/owmesh.conf.bak
yum reinstall perl-perfSONAR_PS-perfSONARBUOY-config
/opt/perfsonar_ps/toolkit/scripts/upgrade/upgrade_owmesh_traceroute.sh

That should reset owmesh.conf to its original state.

Thanks,
Andy

Hello,
Thanks for the quick response.  I have been having issues that seemingly started after I did 'yum update'.  Anytime the host is reset the owmesh.conf loses critical attributes.  Subsequently, the perfsonarbuay master fails to start.  Some attributes that are lost include: BinDir, OWPBinDir, UserName and more.  Running '' /etc/init.d/perfsonarbuoy_owp_master restart' results in a variant of the following error depending on what attribute is missing:

Conf::must_get_val(ATTR=>NODE, ) undefined, called from /opt/perfsonar_ps/perfsonarbuoy_ma/bin/powmaster.pl:154

Any suggestions could be helpful. I thought doing a clean install would fix any faulty configuration issues.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi,

Good question and there is not because there no need for one. A fresh install of the NetInstall ISO pulls the latest packages from the yum repository. Likewise, existing installs can pull the latest packages by running a 'yum update'. If you have an existing NetInstall and have not already done so, it is highly recommended you run yum update. The LiveCD needed a new image because the entire operating system lives locally on the ISO. We added the -2 on the end to distinguish between the old ISOs but its still version 3.3.2 of the perfSONAR tools since those did not change (i.e. it only contained changes to packages such as openssl that we do not maintain). Hopefully that clarifies things.

Thanks,
Andy

Hi all,
Is there a net install available for 3.3.2.2?
