Hi Xavier,

It looks like you're trying to install a RH6 RPM (note the .el6 in the filename). Look for the .el5 RPMs.

Cheers,
Aaron

Dear All

I am trying to install BWCTL on CentOS 5.8
the documentation require Iperf 2.0.5 but the site mentioned into documentation http://pkgs.repoforge.org/iperf/ does not host any Iperf 2.0.5
Iperf 2.4.1 requires GLIBC_2.7
[root@214 ~]# rpm -ivh iperf-2.0.4-1.el6.rf.i686.rpm
warning: iperf-2.0.4-1.el6.rf.i686.rpm: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 6b8d79e6
error: Failed dependencies:
       libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.7) is needed by iperf-2.0.4-1.el6.rf.i686

but my system is updated
[root@214 ~]# yum update glibc.i686
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, security
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
* base: centos.crazyfrogs.org
* extras: centos.crazyfrogs.org
* updates: centos.crazyfrogs.org
Skipping security plugin, no data
Setting up Update Process
No Packages marked for Update
and my version is glibc.i686                               2.5-81                        installed

any idea ?

Xavier

Hi Xavier,

I agree with Brian, we do not expect any problem on Centos 5.X
We had a user deploying it yesterday on Scientific Linux (another rebuild of RHEL) and it went absolutely smoothly.

Feel free to call me or Szymon should you have any problem.
Thanks!
Domenico

It should work fine on both Fedora and CentOS.

I'm currently running it on CentOS 5.7.

Dear All

Hope I am in the good mailing list, if no sorry for that.

I have just downloaded the new version of BWCTL-MP of PS-MDM.
In the documentation, it is written that  "The packages in the perfSONAR MDM repository are built for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. They have been tested on the latest OS version 5.7."
In order to speed up the test (avoiding to order RedHat Licence), I would like to install it on a Fedora or CentOS version.
Do you know if it works and which version should be used ?

Regards
Xavier
