Hey Cas,

Help.

I am trying to install perfSONAR-BUOY on top of RHEL6 on x86_64.  I am following the instructions on http://psps.perfsonar.net/psb/install.html

At first the issue was that the package http://software.internet2.edu/rpms/i386/main/RPMS/Internet2-repo-0.2-5.noarch.rpm points at the i386 repository instead of the x86_64.  I uninstalled the i386 packages and reinstalled using x86_64.

Next the perl-Math-Int64 package is compiled for the wrong version of perl for RHEL6.  I downloaded the source from CPAN and installed it on top of the rpm.

Now I'm working through the readme at http://psps.perfsonar.net/psb/readme.html.
bin/owdb.pl -c ../etc -i ADMIN_USER_NAME doesn't work from /opt/perfsonar_ps/perfsonarbuoy_ma

ERROR
[root@perfsonar perfsonarbuoy_ma]# bin/owdb.pl -c ../etc -i root
Unable to open Global conf:../etc/owmesh.conf at /opt/perfsonar_ps/perfsonarbuoy_ma/bin/../lib/OWP/Conf.pm line 381.
/ERROR

./owdb.pl -c ../etc -i ADMIN_USER_NAME will work from /opt/perfsonar_ps/perfsonarbuoy_ma/bin until it tries to create the database.  Then I get the following error:

ERROR
[root@perfsonar bin]# ./owdb.pl -c ../etc -i root
Enter root password:
creating new database owamp
Unable to create database owamp at /opt/perfsonar_ps/perfsonarbuoy_ma/bin/../lib/OWP/DB.pm line 125, <STDIN> line 1.
/ERROR

Did you enter the root password for the box? If so, try just hitting enter when it asks for the root password. I think the password it's asking for is mysql's root password not the boxes.

Cheers,
Aaron

Thanks.

Cas
