Hi!

Yes, you are right, in MDM 3.3 the metadata configuration is not available from the web interface. If you have a fresh installation you must do the following steps from point I. If you have just upgraded the service you can go to the point II.

I.
1. Once you have installed the package you must configure eXist database following these steps:

2. In a web browser go to eXist db homepage (usually http://$SERVER_NAME:[8080 or 8180]/exist)

3. In the left side bar, choose Admin link. Type admin as a username and click Submit Query. In the standard installation the admin account has no password. You can set up it later.

4. In the left side bar, choose Manage Users link.

5. Click New user button to create user account that RRD MA will use to communicate with eXist db. Type following information:

User: rrdmaservice
Groups: guest
Password: rrdmaservice (Note that you can change it later)
Repeat: rrdmaservice

Click Create button.

6. Once you create the user account you must create a collection where data will be stored. In the left menu choose Browse collections.

7. In New collection textbox type: rrdmaconfig and click Create button.

II.
To upload test or your own metadata file follow the steps:
1. In a web browser go to eXist db homepage (usually http://$SERVER_NAME:8180/exist)

2. In the left side bar, choose Admin link. Type admin as a username and click Submit Query. In the standard installation admin account has no password. You can set up it later.

3. In the left menu choose Browse collections.

4. From the collection list choose rrdmaconfig.

5. Browse the file you want to upload and click Upload.

The new collection is ready for use. Note that you don't have to restart tomcat.
If you want to change your old metadata file to a new one, you must first remove existing file from the collection and then upload the new xml file.

Hi all,

How should I configure the MDM 3.3 RRD-MA to use certain metadata configuration files(e.g., rrd_database_test.xml)?
That was done by using the web interface for the MDM 3.2.

For MDM3.3 RRD-MA, there is a configuration.xml file, but I can't find related tag for metadata file.
