Hi Jim;

I am CCing performance-node-users since this topic is related to the pS Performance Toolkit, if you would like to sign pup for that list you can do so here:

https://lists.internet2.edu/sympa/subscribe/performance-node-users

Timezone configuration can be accomplished in one of two ways. The first method is to use a command line tool:

sudo tzselect

This is normally done on a per user basis (e.g. there will be instructions at the end of this script for exporting the information so it remains persistent in the users .profile file, but the global /etc/profile file could be edited as well). The other method (recommended by RedHat: http://www.redhat.com/advice/tips/timezone.html) is to edit:

/etc/sysconfig/clock

And set the timezone manually. You can use the value recommended through the above tool, or consult the values in /usr/share/zoneinfo/*.

I have added this to to the installation instructions (http://code.google.com/p/perfsonar-ps/wiki/pSPerformanceToolkit32#Timezone_Configuration). Thanks;

In the performance toolkit configuration instructions for 3.2, I can't
find where I'm supposed to set the time zone for the liveCD. I see the
instructions for the netinstall, but that isn't what I'm running. I seem
to remember this wasn't an issue with 3.1, but as the release notes
point out, the config tools are different.

Thanks.
