Hello *,

i want to look at the utilisation of a certain interface in psUI.
I have rrd data for year. What is the correct way to zoom automatically into
the past ?

I've discovered this strange behaviour recently as well. Previous versions of
psUI used to display data into the backwards direction from the program start
time which was much more intuitive imho. Currently (V0.15a) it seems that you
need to enter the start time that you'd like plus the duration from that
point in time.

This is a known issue and RFE is already posted and we hope to change that behaviour:
https://bugzilla.perfsonar.net/show_bug.cgi?id=852
(note that Bugzilla is currently frozen due to migration to GN3 infrastructure)

If nothing has been configured in advance, only data from the program start
time into the forward direction is displayed, one can't look backwards in
time. Is that the way it should be ?

Personally, I don't think that's the way it should be. Going backwards from
the current time was way better.

If i configure an earlier start time in the "From" line, the start time
changes but it doesn't scale the timeline correct and most of the time doesn't give any
data for the 1 month, 3 month or 1 year interval. What is going wrong here ?

For me if I enter an earlier start time, scaling seems to work when I click
on the time buttons on the lower right side (from point in time).
Even better would be if there were buttons to go right and left in the graph
if you wanted to see the previous or next inverval of the same size (scale).

Nice idea.

Thank you for your comments.

Regards,
