Hi all,

When installing Tomcat5.5 under fresh installation of Ubuntu 7.04 and then perfSONAR eXist in Tomcat two well known problems exist which may prevent you from successful deployment. Here are description and information what to do then:

*Tomcat*
FIFO problem with catalina.out:

*eXist in Tomcat* (see the second bullet under the link)
eXist parser libraries need to be copied manually because starting eXist after default installation fails:
