Hi,

hello Mr Trocha,

Fixing the event type for the lookup service query worked.
I got a successful echo response and the other tests also returned OK.
Even the rrd ma service returned a successful echo response.

Very good!

I am now trying to stitch the rrd-ma with the rrd database. I am using

Which version of RRD MA are you installing? The latest RC or the one from the last MDM bundle 3.0?
If you tried RC2 (the latest available) you may want to wait a few days as there will be a small update to this service. And then you have

the test database and the meta data conf file as described at http://anonsvn.internet2.edu/svn/perfsonar/tags/GEANT2-JAVA-RRD-MA-3.1rc2/conf/rrd-database_TEST.xml

unfortunately when i run a utilization query through the interfaces tab i get the following error.

Error code error.rrdma.rrdjtool
Error description RRDStorageManager.rrdFetch: Cannot connect with rrdjtool native library: no jrrd in java.library.path

This kind of error shows up when the path to rrdjtool library is not there or is wrongly configured.

I had installed rrdtool 1.2.27 separately without using the rpm (needed it earlier for another webservice), I tried to install rrdjtool separately (from http://monstera.man.poznan.pl/wiki/index.php/RRD_Java_libraries) but came across a couple of compile time errors (one of which was documented on your wiki unfortunately i can't find any documentation on the second one).
I know the above error is because the LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not setup, I tried to find out what this should be pointing to but the only documentation i found said i should use the value suggested by the installation script. I found a jar file rrdjtool-1.0.jar could this be of any use.

The LD_LIBRARY_PATH should point to directory where libjrrd.so file may be located (depending on your configuration) in e.g. /opt/perfsonar/services/geant2-java-rrd-ma/WEB-INF/contrib/rrdjtool/build
Please remember to set this path permanently in system environment

Regards,
