Another case from Sven that seems not yet answered. I'm just making sure somone is handling this.

Hi Roman,

thanks for your effort, somehow MA now sends response for me as well,
I am not sure what has changed. But values in response are strange.
When I fetch data from RRD file by rrdtool, I get 5-second averages:

rrdtool fetch /usr/local/sonar/rrdtemp/myrouter.rrd AVERAGE -s 1135004260
-e 1135004275 -r 5
in
1135004265: 2.2407650400e+07
1135004270: 2.1342136200e+07
1135004275: 4.6648000000e+03

When I send request from Java client:

cd /usr/local/sonar/perfsonar/ant
ant run-cesnet

where the request is stored in file Cesnet_MA_Data_Request.xml, which
includes the following parameters (should be the same as in rrdtool fetch
command if I did not overlook something):

<select:parameter name="startTime">1135004260</select:parameter>
<select:parameter name="endTime">1135004275</select:parameter>
<select:parameter name="consolidationFunction">AVERAGE</select:parameter>
<select:parameter name="resolution">5</select:parameter>

I get per-second values:

<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004260" value="3644.0" />
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004261" value="3578.0" />
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004262" value="1.12018861E8"/>
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004263" value="6298.0" />
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004264" value="5871.0" />
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004265" value="6493.0" />
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004266" value="3039.0" />
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004267" value="4748.0" />
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004268" value="3494.0" />
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004269" value="1.06692907E8" />
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004270" value="5345.0" />
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004271" value="4881.0" />
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004272" value="3946.0" />
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004273" value="6060.0" />
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004274" value="3092.0" />
<perfsonar:datum timeValue="1135004275" value="2.46172731709985E-310" />

When I start Python MA:

cd /usr/local/MApython/perfSONAR-MA/service
python ./perfsonar_rrd_ma_server.py -l DEBUG -d

and when I send request from Python client:

cd /usr/local/MApython/perfSONAR-MA/client
python ./perfsonar_client.py -d -u localhost:8090 -f r.xml

where r.xml includes again the same parameters:

<select:parameter name="startTime">1135004260</select:parameter>
<select:parameter name="endTime">1135004275</select:parameter>
<select:parameter name="consolidationFunction">AVERAGE</select:parameter>
<select:parameter name="resolution">5</select:parameter>

I get some 5-second averages, but over different 5-second intervals
and with different values:

<nmwg:datum timeValue="1135004262" value="22407650.4"/>
<nmwg:datum timeValue="1135004267" value="21342136.2"/>
<nmwg:datum timeValue="1135004272" value="4664.8"/>
<nmwg:datum timeValue="1135004277" value="1.54905692756e-312"/>

Do you know what is the reason of different results?

Regards,

Sven
