Hi all,

Is there any particular reason for this?

I'm going to migrate to maven but I haven't so far. When I started to
maintain WebAdmin there already was ant script and I was not enough
fluent in maven to migrate at the beginning. I'm going to migrate to
maven after release 3.3.

What about serving index.jsp and /wa/* from a jar (through a servlet)
this way you can simply bumb the version of the dependency to update
the webadmin?

Michael is right, easier dependency handling, if all those are packaged
in a jar .

I'll indeed suggest trying to use maven for war packaging, there are
existing maven goals for wars, which help avoid reinventing wheels.

Are we discussing about jar or war? I can also build war from my ant
script ...
Both
and what is good in storing css files in *.jar (NOT *.war) file?

No way to assign versions of a css/image/js.  If in a jar, this is possible.  If this is not important, than the current structure is fine.
Again, I am pretty sure maven has already established practices in this respect (and if one goes against maven defaults when using the tools, some headache is to be expected :)
