Hi Nina,

To edit the global configuration of perfsonarUI, I need to have the approval of current GEANT / MDM community, who is using the current setup.
Does everybody agree it is OK to add Vicky' MA service to the perfsonarUI config ?

After some discussion with WILs and steering committee we agreed that we should keep the MA.conf list as small as possible and with as much as reliable services as possible. It should also exclude test instances of pS services. Everything else should be available through LS and we should encourage our users to use LS infrastructure. Such file will be easier to maintain and keep up-to-date.

Thus I'd like to ask you to:
- Modify the default MA.conf for stable version and reduce it to the current MDM participants (GEANT2, FCCN, GARR, PIONIER, SWITCH) services (RRD MAs, HADES) + single instance of pS partners working services (currently only I2's http://rrdma.net.internet2.edu:8080/perfSONAR_PS/services/snmpMA)

It was also noted that we should stress SD to put more attention to not working MDM services and request NRENs to fix it.

For testing purposes a local copy of MA.conf could be used or a modified version for beta testing of psUI, including test services with new features. Such MA.conf for beta version should contain entries for services that we actually want to test with a given psUI beta version (if there are any). In addition this will also include the same list as available in a stable version of the psUI. So for the time being MA.conf for beta version of psUI will be the same as for stable version because we don't have any new RRD MA or SQL MA features to test with extensions of psUI now. Is it possible to use a separate config files for stable and beta versions?

Best regards,
