Hi,

Hi
I'm not sure if test item in the newest version of webadmin library (0.9b) is ready to be used now. I found that its jsp file contains hardcoded port numbers so if a user installs a service with different port number then the test will fail.

Yes, I changed manually to the port 8180 when I was creating the deb package, since in Debian 4, Tomcat is launched that port.
However, I did an small change in testdepl.jsp so it gets the base URL and the port from the request, not hardcoded anymore.

I've seen you changes. I updated jsp file and tested again but it still does not work (request file path and write permission for the response are correct). Unfortunately there is no detailed information on the web page what's wrong.

Try something: create the folder /home/perfsonar and set write permissions in that folder for the user "tomcat55".

I did something similar without success. I will check it again.

This is one bug fixed by Prodromos.

I don't think creating perfsonar user for storing response test message is a good idea. I would prefer to store it somewhere else, for example in log directory /var/log/<servicename>/ (example for sql ma: /var/log/geant2-java-sql-ma/)

I know Podromos has also fixed other bugs so maybe we should release the webadmin 0.9.1b. Right now, who is in charge of it?

no idea
