Hello Rafael Costa,
I'll start by answering your last question. There should be a war
distribution. If you can't
find the war-distribution you can always get the latest build at our hudson:
http://sonar1.amsterdam.surfnet.nl/hudson/
http://sonar1.amsterdam.surfnet.nl/hudson/job/ps-mdm-flowsa-ma/31/perfsonar$ps-mdm-flowsa-ma/artifact/perfsonar/ps-mdm-flowsa-ma/0.9.1/flowsama.war
- should be the latest.
War option should be used if you want specific control over which version is
used - mind you
that it removes the advantages that packaging bring, like making sure your
using compatible
versions of the other components, automated updates(security) etc.
For completeness:
War version should work with any JEE 5 compatible webserver, flowsama has
pluggable
nfdump-output readers(mind you we currently only support one version of
nfdump) if your
version is not compatible you need to, or ask someone else to, implement a
nfdumpoutput
reader for that version. (documented in the code)
As for the package not working, gijs should be quite interested in this. I
don't think we
officially support slackware. Packaging is tested on ubuntu, debian should
work. Anyway's
gijs
is the one to talk to. He's undoubtedly respond tomorrow (he's in the CET
timezone).
Regards,
Michael
