To clarify, the postinst will be called during multiple installation
steps. The postinst scripts in the repo (which is a slightly modified
version of the default postinst script) will create symlinks, chown and
restart tomcat during the configure step of the package installation.
The is what you want. Just copy the postinst file to your debian folder
and modify those lines, and you are ready to go.
