Same thing would be true trying to ask for multiple resolutions in a
single request.

(This is just an optimization: currently Im making 2 separate requests
and it works fine. But it would be more efficient to bundle them together.)

I think we should extend the schema in some way to accommodate this.

I'll throw in my two cents on the topic. I wrote up some ideas on protocol modifications that could be used to describe these relationships. It also makes it easy to describe the transformations performed by either an MA or a transformation service. The output is a bit verbose, but the resulting message is unambiguous.
