As I mentioned before in a email:
"On a different note we'll run into issues later as the lookupservice doesn't 
have
information on the services that a service provides, ad least not beyond 
MP/MA/LS (but for
example the kind of MA (flowsa, rdd, etc) is not included.)"
(though I mentioned it elsewhere too but I can't find it)

It seems the shema might support service version though:

I suppose you could change the RegisterComponent in the base to report to ls 
a more extended
value:
<psservice:serviceType>ma</psservice:serviceType>
to
<psservice:serviceType>ma#flowsa</psservice:serviceType>
(# as delimiter or what ever floats your boat(<whitespace>,'-','.' etc)

That or extend the schema off course. You also might want to formalise the 
format of this
type as it is now we might not run into problems but as more and more 
implementations show up
you might get name clashes if the name is too generic.
