This brings up an important practice when it comes to systems support: 
requests for something or reporting an error shouldn't be done to an 
individual alone.  Reporting an outage to the list allows everyone to 
see what is going on and gives the entire group a  better picture of who 
will be responsible for fixing something.

The ticket is started already, so someone will get to it eventually.  In 
the future it would be best to first post the issues to a more public 
location to eliminate duplicate reporting, and duplicate requests for a fix.
