Hi Andreas,

has there been progressed on the standardisation of the information to register to the LS?

It would be very good if we could have the finding the closest MP implemented for the Berlin workshop. During the PERT meeting in Zurich, such functionality was identified as required.

For this, could you please
- set-up a list of actions for each of the developer to perform so that we can benefit from that functionality
- follow-up the implementation

Cheers,
Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,

I have put a new version of the "finding closest MP" document on the wiki. As the proposed interactions center around a business logic which has to be contained in the visualisation tool(s) I would like to check the document in details with Nina first. She may make some thoughts how the functionality might really look like in perfsonarUI. What is unclear to me is how we can progress with standardising information that should go into the LS (who should propose a format? who is thinking (or has already thought of) the retrieval logic in the LS?).

Best regards
Andreas

P.S. I do not like the term "network link status tool" (other new feature). We have already several tools and the feedback has been that there should not be more tools. So this might be an additional functionality of the HADES web page, but should not be called a new tool.
