Dear developers (working on the 3.0 release),

The package maker script is now able to handle creation of debian 
packages. The creation of debian packages is similar to the rpm 
packages. A debian machine is available for anybody wishing to use it to 
create such packages. Just mail me your public key (open-ssh format please).

The debian packages for tomcat and exist are available for download and 
use here: http://downloads.perfsonar.eu/dependencies/DEBIAN/

Please note that the package maker script has been moved to 
/trunk/packaging/script  on the SVN

As most of you (Java developers) might already know, WAR files are 
expected for your service. Instructions for building WAR files are in 
the build guide.

We hope that you will be able to provide us the war files and debian 
packages for your RCs by monday. If you have any questions, problems or 
you are unable to meet this deadline, please give us a shout.
