My 2 cents...Agree.
Safe defaults are very important.
The defaults should not cause the whole infrastructure to bog down
if somebody loads 1000+ interfaces into their MA.
I recommend a default some where between 12 and 24 hours for the RRDMA.
Lets start with 24 hours as the default. We can reduce it based on needs at a later point in time.

Hi,
I'd like to ask about the interval time for LS registering. So far it's 30 seconds for RRD MA and SQL MA. Do you want to keep this value or increase for the release 3.0 (personally I think it should be higher value, 10 mins or more; currently LS removes service's metadatas if they are not sent/updated in new register request during the last 24 hours)?
We prefer it to be waaaay higher than 30 seconds. At least a few hours.
For performance reasons of Java LS the registration time should be more than 15 minutes. The rational time seems to be a few hours. If there is no need to update data frequently (e.g. RRD MA) this time can be even 12 hours or more.
