Hello Nicolas,
At SURFnet we have a research lab with rackspace,(power/uplink/etc), I
think if I pull some strings they will allow us to use it.
But I'm not sure what your definition of a 'SUN server' is.
I have Sunfire 280R x 2 and Sunfire v120 X 6 with ultrasparc's (III & IIi)
sitting around idle.
Question then is the os.
Installing opensolaris shouldn't be a problem. or must it be Solaris 10? (
but I think thats free too)
Also I'm need to check if we have the lom passwords, but I think we do.
Or can it be any box(x86 / 64) with solaris / opensolaris?
As for sudo well for as far as I care you can break the installation or do
anything to it as they aren't used atm. (they can be root for all I care.)
As long as security is intact and it behaves(doesn't start spamming
mail/traffic etc(as in it shouldn't trouble us).
Does that help?
kind regards,
Michael
