where we can find RPMs of eXist and Tomcat:

Jason, This was indeed my intention too. However, the issue was that the perfsonar.net site makes use of svn to store and sync the download directory. This was not found ideal by I2 sys admins and Jeff was looking into changing this.
Hence, we only put the files which we perceived to be the most important for major releases. When 3.0 is ready, we will probably make all these files available on perfsonar.net (depends on Jeff's progress on setting up the download site).
Of course, if we could make both sites sync automatically, that would be very good.

doesn't seem to want to respond for me).
I don't understand what you mean by respond. Are you not able to download the files?
