All;

It has been a successful SC for perfSONAR in terms of both use and the
spreading of information. I have uploaded some of the printed materials
that Internet2 and OGF have been passing out with regards to perfSONAR
(I will be uploading our 'booth' poster once I am able to secure a final
copy):

perfSONAR was installed directly on SCinet, a high speed network created
for the specific purpose of supporting SC activities, and was used to
provide data for a variety of visualizations including weathermaps and
'perfOMeter' (rhymes with thermometer) traffic interfaces. Several
deployments of the perfSONAR-PS SNMP MA and LS were exercised within
SCinet and were seamlessly used in conjunction with other monitoring
tools such as Cricket and Cacti.

The following links will take you to some of these visualizations used
in both SCinet and the Internet2 Booth:

- DCN (ESnet/Geant2/Internet2 Dynamic Circuit Network) Weather Map -

- Phoebus Weather Map -

- Bandwidth Challenge perfOMeters - http://measurement.sc07.org/bwc/

Many of these visualizations were featured in rotating SC displays,
which drew lots of person traffic to the Internet2 booth to learn more
about perfSONAR. The SC conference will be shutting down tomorrow at
~4PM PST, so please take the time to view the visualizations. Comments
are of course welcome.
