Hi,

I am not sure if there is some other way to make the JWS use xerces parser necessary for AA classes.

I don't see an workaround here, except abandoning JWS for perfsonarUI. (There is also another reason for this).

Could you please elaborate a little bit more on the other reason?

Any ideas?

In the event there is no suggestions coming from Candido, to help us understand a little bit more the impact of such change, could you please explain:
1) what the impact will be for the user not to use JWS?
2) what amount of work abandonning JWS this would imply on you?

Thanks a lot in advance for it :-)

Without JavaWebStart we cannot use the JavaWebStart version of the tool anymore. This means that all users would have to use the version that you can download and install off-line on your computer. Without JWS its mechanims to distribute updates automatically is lost and therefore updating the tool will require more effort for the users.

That's the key point, JWS is transparent to the user.

Nicolas

As the CNM has only provided a JWS version in the past, we should try to find a solution where JWS can still be used.
