And open a bug on this issue.  It will make it much easier for me (and 
others who are interested) to track the progress than via the mailing list.

I am attaching some comments and suggestions for the ping only.  Once we 
decide on a way to go forward with this particular set of examples we 
can modify the BWCTL and OWAMP examples to match this set.
