There are a couple ways of interacting with the service currently. You can either request the entire topology database or you can perform Xqueries on it. The specifics of the queries should be easy enough to change if need be. The bulk of the topology elements should be the same, but the structure may be a bit different.

Hi Jon Kare and Andreas,
it appear that I2 has been developing its own topology service.
I do not know how inter-operable it is with the one developed by RedIRIS. I am hesitant about the path to follow.
Do we wish to test it too with Nemo or CNM (and so check the inter-operability)? I think it might be of benefit. What is your opinion?
Well, we can certainly test it.
Thanks for that.
Does it implement the same service, or the cNIS topology service?
I believe it is the same as the perfsonar topology service where you can download the entire topology. (to be confirmed by Aaron). Although from what I understood, there might be differences in interpretation of some of the schema elements.
Cheers,
Aaron
