FYI,
It turns out there is a UC Berkeley Football game on Saturday the 15th.
Some of the hotels are charging more and starting to fill up for  
Friday & Saturday night.

So, I suggest making reservations soon.

Of course, leaving Berkeley after the meeting Friday afternoon and  
spending
the weekend some other place in northern California is not a bad  
idea. I have
enjoyed Nappa Valley, San Francisco, Monterey, Carmel and Tahoe  
during weekends
that I have spent in California over the years.
