Hi Murilo,
I am not sure if you will get much response on this topic here. cNIS activity in GEANT2 is working on something similar.
What I can say is: It depends on why the information is not available.
If its because of database connectivity problems, you have to send a result code back. Same applies for all other 'faults'
If it is because there is no such data present,
- if the query that you are answering is contained in a metadata element, you can send back the same metadata element along with empty data. Empty data element means no data available
- alternatively (I am not too sure about this approach), you can still send back a result code saying 'no match'. This approach is used by rrd MA as well...but as I said, I am not too sure about this approach.
