We can set a date when we (i.e. perfsonar community) will stop 
supporting the 1.0 release products (not that we are supporting it to a 
great extent). Users can then either risk to use unsupported software or 
upgrade. We can also say that perfSONAR UI and other analysis tools *may 
not* work with unsupported versions.

I don't think the deadline approach used for 1.0 was successful last 
year (there are few sticks, only carrots).

MDM Service will only support 2.0 release onwards.
