Hello,

RRDMA currently returns xml responses, with metaX and metaX+1 to club together a particular interface's in/out data.

For example, meta11 and meta12 could be in/out data for ifName:Vlan5 on bnl-mr1.es.net.

Is it reasonable to assume that in data is odd numbered metadata and out is even for a particular interface? Or should there be another mechanism to uniquely identify data to particular interface?

No, it is not reasonable. You have to look at the parameters in the metadata directly. There is no reason metadata id's even have to use integers as part of the id. So assuming they are even or odd is absolutely out of the question.
