I can think of these:

* We need one document management system, not more. Since we are already started using svn for documents (example: software specifications), it makes sense to use it for other documents such as presentations, copies of published papers, etc

* As I understand it, the purpose of wiki is to help in collaborative editing. Its not really a document management system. For example, if I have to look for presentations related to AA, where should I look? Would it be in the minutes page or should I scroll through the huge list of all uploaded documents and try to pick out the presentations which might be related to AA? The page on presentations and publications seems very much out of date.

* Wiki tends to get out of control too quickly because of its flexibility. Uploaded documents can be linked from any page which is an advantage but unless some discipline is maintained in where they get linked from, this ends up becoming a dis-advantage (thats how it is currently)

I am fine with whatever is decided as long as we all follow one approach. I just though its better to work with one document repository and svn seems to fit very nicely.

I have uploaded the slides onto the svn. You can find them here

I think we should all use svn to upload presentations and documents. Using the mailing list is not desirable especially if attachments are huge and sent to many people. Using the wiki is not good either as it tends to go quickly out of control.

Before we can ask everybody to start using svn, its important to prepare broad categories. A category for release management related documents has been created. This category involves documents on testing as well.

Anybody has proposals for other broad categories?
