To be clear - Maciej is referring to what will happen if Multi-LS is not used. 
If Multi-LS is used, the information will be served by a different LS instance.

If we create the client-API I referred to in the previous message - the Java 
exception should force the client to find another LS to continue updating the 
information with. I believe the current Multi-LS service does this already with 
regard to its up-stream LS, so this code should already be there. It just needs 
to be pulled into the clients (other services).
