Hi Nicolas,
These commands should be configured by the NREN's themselves. However, it should not be that difficult to provide them as a default, but it not being supported as such at the moment. If this feature is to be provided in your opinion, please let us know, and we'll make work of this RFE.
This would definitely be a benefit. The less the NRENs have to do the better it is for the adoption of the service.
See in attachment for the translation between cisco and Juniper commands (the most important ones are the yellow ones).
Cheers,
Nicolas

Hi Stijn,
is there a way of ensuring that the "*" commands are configured by the NRENs? Should they be by default when they download the MP or do they have to configure those themselves?
Cheers,
Nicolas

Hi,
Chris has compiles a list of command that should be provided by the networks in order to help the NOC and PERT in their daily work. The command listed are cisco commands.
If you are using juniper (or any other equipment), could you please translate the following command (or even a subset of them) to Juniper commands as they will most likely be required for the prototype.
We are looking in particular at the ones preceeded by "*".
Thank you very much in advance.
Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,
I went over some available looking glasses (most items from GRNET) and added some functionality from brainstorming with my NOC/PERT colleagues.
Note, we only use Cisco devices, so I don't know if similar commands are available for other platforms...
Useful CISCO commands for PERT/NOC debugging (in GN2 JRA1):
General/IPv4:
show environment
*show interface <interface>
*show interface description
show ip access-lists
*show ip bgp <ip address>
show ip bgp summary
show ip bgp dampening dampened-paths
show ip bgp neighbor <ip address> advertised-routes
show ip bgp neighbor <ip address> received-routes
show ip bgp dampening flap-statistics
show ip interface <interface>
show ip mbgp <ip address>
show ip mroute <ip address>
show ip msdp sa-cache <as number>
show ip msdp sum
show ip msdp count
show ip msdp peer <ip address>
show ip ospf database external <ip address>
show ip protocols
*show ip route <ip address>
show ip rpf
show ip sdr
show ip sdr detail
show module
*show running interface <interface>
show version
*ping <ip address>
*trace <ip address>
mtrace <ip address>
IPv6:
*show ipv6 route <ipv6 address>
*show ipv6 interface <interface>
show ipv6 access-list
*show bgp ipv6 <IPv6 prefix network/length>
show bgp ipv6 summary
show bgp ipv6 flap-statistics
*ping ipv6 <ipv6 address>
*trace ipv6 <ipv6 address>
MPLS:
show mpls l2transport vc
*show mpls l2transport vc detail
show mpls forwarding-table <interface>
show ip vrf
show ip vrf detail
*show ip route vrf <VPN name>
*ping vrf <VPN name> <ip address>
*trace vrf <VPN name> <ip address>
(*) development priority; of course, all commands are important, but those are the ones which I'd say MUST be there.
Regards,
Chris

Hi Nicolas,
Our offices are closed from this Saturday till January 4th, so i'll
try to come up with some examples this week.
If I understand correctly, this is for commands to use on a router right?
Like interface descriptions, stats (counters), configuration etc?
Typically, at this stage, we are looking at show command like you can
find on typical looking glass e.g.
http://www.garr.it/mappagarr/garr-b-mapaltri-engl.shtml
If you think that you'll need quite a few of them, could you please
prioritise them (either on an individual basis or per group).
Thanks a lot.
Cheers,
Nicolas
PS: for clarification, by stats, I can see two type of things: show
command which shows counters values and the second one would be OID
access. The second one is not yet part of our portfolio, so you can
ignore it for the time being.
Regards,
Chris

Hi Chris,
could I ask you to send a list the looking glass command that would be
useful for the NOC and for the PERT when troubleshooting problems. This
would be a helpful start for the Pilot. Could you please send this list
if possible before the Cambridge meeting.
Thanks a lot.
Cheers,
