As a result of this thread, we have switched to using perl for our bundle installer script.

Hi,
I talked to Roman about new ant targets for the release. I know that we've already decided the shape of new release and that we'll be using ant, but I've just realized a serious problem.
Bundle will contain java services as well as perl services. As far as I remember perl services will be installed by ant scripts (I even sent the way how to do it on the mailing list - "exec task").
But what if one would like to install just perl services? Then he will need to install Java and Ant.
Nice point!
If the bundle "top-level" ant script (the one which runs all other ant scripts) is quite simple, maybe we should do another one in perl?
Do you know if there is an outcome to this thread?
Loukik.
Cheers,
Nicolas
