Dear all,

Please find below some notes on the Visualisation Session. I have
uploaded the slides for this session and for the other presentations
that I gave to the wiki page
(http://wiki.perfsonar.net/jra1-wiki/index.php/JRA1_Cambridge_Jan_07).

A common appearance of the visualisation tools is targeted by
- common naming as "a perfSONAR visualisation tool" in the headlines
- renaming of VisualperfSONAR with a more specific name towards path
analysis and to differentiate the naming from perfsonarUI
The linking of VisualperfSONAR and perfsonarUI was discussed and some
details were fixed.
The testing ground functionality of VisualperfSONAR will be used to test
the Topology Service/cNIS interactions. A process how this functionality
will be integrated in perfsonarUI was drafted.
There will be two pages for VisualperfSONAR. The current URL will stay
as a production web site, while an additional site will be created for
testing.
Currently no special requirements for the service development (in
addition to the performance issues) could be identified.
A draft document for the release of visualisation tools was sent from
Andreas to Nicolas and Loukik. Further input will be requested from the
visualisation group in the following.

We would like to ask the other participants to test the newest version
of perfsonarUI (thanks, Alessandro and Loukik). Please use the Bugzilla
systems when the problems with the system (mail from Vedrin) have been
cleared. In addition, we would like to start discussing functional
testing for the visualisation tools with Illias and Michalis when they
are done with the service release.

Best regards
Andreas
