Good morning Maciej,

I’m testing the LSQuery request right now and I have a question?

In the wiki http://wiki.perfsonar.net/jra1-wiki/index.php/LS_Messages#LSQueryResponse is stated that the response must have at least one data/psservice:datum/ element .

But when I receive a response to a request that produces no result (no matches found) there are no datum elements just an empty data element. Is this right, or the presence of a datum element is not mandatory?

Hmm, I don't know... As with most of our request/responses for LS - we haven't defined what is required and what is not.

I wrote the page you mentioned basing on real requests and responses and examples made by Jason and Martin, so they may not be strict.

I'll look into the code and see how it actually works. Maybe there would be a reason for distinguishing such variants of data+datum and data without datum for client applications
