Hi Roman,

I thought I will let you know about the context for the spec needs that 
Ilias in talking about.

We are still working on templates and example documents which will be 
used by the developers in order to describe the software that they are 
handing over. Ilias and Michalis on the other hand are working on 
testing scripts to test a few services (RRD MA and LS to start with) 
that will be part of the 1.1 release. As you know there are slight 
differences between the interfaces (i.e. xml messages) between 1.0 and 
1.1 RRD MA. Ilias has worked on scripts for RRD MA in 1.0 and has 
started working on scripts for 1.1 and he needs some help in 
understanding the software.

Ideally, a developer document describing the functional and interface 
specs would be sufficient for the testing team to write up these 
scripts. Unfortunately, definition of hand over process started in 
september while the next release is scheduled for january. So, the 
developers won't be able to provide any documentation early enough so 
that the testing team can write up scripts to test the services. Hence, 
the functional testing team will be required to talk to the developers 
directly, get a clear understanding of the interfaces and 
functionalities available and write up the scripts for this release. 
Maciej and Michalis have gone through this process (I understand that 
Michalis found it a bit difficult but even with that, he has done an 
excellent job in writing up scripts so far). Ilias is trying to do the 
same for 1.1 RRD MA. (He has been doing it for 1.0 so far).

But this doesn't mean that the developers won't provide such documents 
for 1.1 at all. Its just that the documents will come in a bit late for 
us to write up testing scripts, do the testing and make the release in 
january. Hence, we are relying on document-less communications to start 
with so that testing team can prepare the scripts.

Please feel free to ask us any questions or concerns that you may have. 
We don't expect you to write up any extra documentation other than the 
ones we have already listed for this but instead if you could explain it 
to Ilias in a clearly written email, it would be much appreciated
