Hi all again
because in the topology service it might be interesting that clients
register for updates in the database I was taking a look at the register
messages exchanged in the LookupService.
I have seen that the LS uses it's own messages types which I understand
differs
from the desired genericness of perfsonar schemas.
Should I create my own RegisterRequest messages?
Should I follow another example instead?
The TOPS can use its own type of messages (signified by the 'type' attribute in the message element) but the format should follow the basic idea of the LS (or any other subscription based services currently in pS).
I am not really sure how you intend to implement this functionality (push or pull from the database) but using registration keys has worked well for the other services in the past.
