The installation itself was more than likely corrupted. Your feedback (and anyone else in the dev circle who still has not tried an RC or V1 yet) will be much more valuable on a clean machine, as a standard user would no doubt be using.
As soon as there is enough feedback I can cut off a new release fixing the changes I have seen thus far, so that we do not keep revisiting the same problems.

Ok, I started with a clean profile. I went through the installation procedure, answered all the questions. Then did the test. It gave me the above exception. I restarted tomcat. I did the test again and it gave me the following exception

org.perfsonar.service.commons.exceptions.SystemException: [unknown]: PropertiesConfigurationComponent.getProperty: Requested Param: component.ma.xmldb.db_status

The installation procedure deployed the service and said everything is ok.

What do I do now?


First, can we move the comments back to bugzilla so I can better address this issue. Second once you are there, give me some additional info such as an export of env. variables and if you can a screen dump of your process so I can try to reproduce the problem on my own.
