All,

It was brought to our attention that the updated packages we pushed a couple days ago broke BWCTL’s ability to work with iperf3 due to an internal version check that BWCTL performs. We have are in the process of pushing out new BWCTL 1.6.6 packages to address this issue. You should see them in appear in mirrors over the course of the next few days.

As has been shared multiple times over the course of the past year, this is also a friendly reminder that BWCTL support will be discontinued 6 months after the release perfSONAR 4.1, our next major release. We expect perfSONAR 4.1 to go into beta soon, so it’s a pretty safe bet that you are looking at less than a year of BWCTL support left and should be transitioning to pScheduler. For a helpful BWCTL to pScheduler command reference see http://fasterdata.es.net/performance-testing/network-troubleshooting-tools/pscheduler.

Thank you,
The perfSONAR Development Team
