Registration for the Fall 2007 Internet2 Member Meeting is still open! If you have not yet done so, please register and save $100--as rates will increase on October 6 at 5:00pm EST. Even though the room block is closed, rooms are still available at the Town & Country Resort at our reduced Member Meeting rate. Please reserve your room now to avoid an increase in price.
The meeting program is shaping up with over 70 outstanding track sessions. Two excellent general sessions are planned: a talk on New Applications of SuperNetworks and the Implications for Campus Networks presented by Larry Smarr, Director of Calit2, and a panel discussion on Cyberinfrastructure: The Way Forward led by Francine Berman, Executive Director of the San Diego Supercomputer Center. On Wednesday, meeting attendees are invited to our host campus University of California, San Diego (UCSD) for a variety of activities, including advanced applications demos at the San Diego Supercomputer Center and tours and demonstrations at Calit2. The afternoon schedule allows ample time for you to explore the beautiful UCSD campus on your own. The day will culminate in a gala event at the Birch Aquarium, where attendees will enjoy drinks and an hors d'oeuvres buffet while exploring a stunning variety of Pacific marine life in more than 60 habitats.
Whether this is your first Member Meeting or your 22nd, please plan on joining your colleagues from across the advanced networking community in San Diego! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the Fall 2007 Internet2 Member Meeting. Best regards. -- Ann
