I have made a "developers" release available from the owamp downloads area. This 
version has many changes in it. The OWAMP protocol itself changed substantially 
since the latest release, and this version of the code reflects all of those 
changes. (Version 14 of the protocol is completely implemented.) Because of 
this, the default server port as been changed from previous versions. The owampd 
process will now listen on port 8424 by default.

I am releasing this as a "developers" release because I would like help testing 
this release before I make it the "default". I have not even installed this 
version on the Abilene test hosts yet. I'm hoping for a few weeks of feedback to 
find any lurking bugs before I make this a production release. (I plan on 
running this version and the current production version in parallel on the 
Abilene hosts at least for a while.)

Documentation for the new release can be found in the owamp-2.0dev-a.tar.gz 
tarball. The owamp web site will not reference the new documentation until this 
version becomes the production release.

A quick rundown of some of the new features:

* Improved support for early termination of test sessions
* Support for recording the number of hops a packet traverses using
        the ttl field from IP
* Added support for PHB/DSCP using TOS bits (-D/-H options to owping)
* Added support in owping for scheduling tests in the future (-z option)
* Cleaned up error reporting some (See the owampd.man page for details.)
* Several bug fixes

Future development on owamp is likely to focus more on how owamp gets 
timestamps.
