  1. Agenda Bash
  1. Any insight into Equinix issues – Chicago?  There were issues will chillers not being able to handle extreme cold.  I2 had impact to one router that had to shut down due to high temp.  It was able to be turned on once temps came back down.
Update on peering and I2PX
  1. No significant changes to peering since December.  Will be working on several capacity augments.  NANOG90 coming up soon and will be meeting with several peers there.
  2. Aside on NANOG – looks like virtual now has a fee.  Discussion – lower attendance post-COVID have impacted NANOG financially.  Only 338 attendees so far.
  1. You can find a non-fee option if you look hard enough.
  2. Frank Seesink will be there and will be on a discussion panel.
Network Weather Update – Trends and Coming Events
  1. Nothing unexpected – normal start of semester traffic.
Internet2 Network Updates
  1. Work is progressing on new Boston POP.  Transatlantic circuit (original driver) is delayed again, likely to end of quarter.  It is a Vodaphone/Facebook/Google partnership.  Major LHCONE implications, with much anticipation.  Will be a Spur initially but will likely eventually be made to be inline with Albany line.
  2. Will likely need to move out of current space at 111 8th Ave NY to 165 Halsey.  Likely a better space with better peering.
  3. Working on being able to provide better 100G circuit access for community members for private peering.
Campus border route policy best practices
  1. Dave Farmer is still working on slides.
  2. Looking for other volunteers.
  3. Will be reaching out to all peers that have direct BGP peering with Internet2 so that regional network and I2 routes are used effectively.  Jeff is working With Linda Roos to merge BGP peers with associated current contacts.
Any other business?
  1. There was no other business to discuss.
Adjourn at 4:25pm EST
